We are hiring a multi qualified Shift Technician in both Electrical & Mechanical disciplines. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years' experience of Engineering/Maintenance working within a food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure minimal downtime of production facility through effective and timely maintenance and repair of plant and machinery (both Electrical & Mechanical).
  • Limitation of plant/equipment failure through effective planned preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Support ongoing production output by engaging in the rotating Standby & Call-out Rota.
  • Engage in upskilling operators to enhance best practice on use of plant and equipment.
Candidate Profile
  • Must be able to work in both Mechanical & Electrical disciplines (Preferred Bias 70% / 30% or 30% / 70%).
  • Must have worked within a multi-skilled multi-disciplined team in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to work independently or assisted on all aspects of maintenance work.
  • Mechanical Engineering qualification to C&G/NVQ Level 2 equivalent or higher/or achieved full Apprenticeship (Certificates to be made available).
  • Demonstrable mechanical fitting abilities/experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret Mechanical/assembly drawings.
  • Good pneumatic skills.
  • Good level of English both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work at heights & confined spaces.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to place of work and/or other sites if required to do so within the role.
