We are looking for a warm, engaging and organised Activities Co‑Ordinator to join our community at Saxon Court – Solihull Extra Care Scheme and help create a vibrant, inclusive community for older and vulnerable adults. This is more than just organising activities; this is about building relationships, reducing isolation, encouraging independence, and helping people live fulfilled and meaningful lives.

The person we are looking for will be friendly, approachable, and compassionate. An excellent communicator with strong people skills, confident when engaging with older and vulnerable adults from diverse backgrounds, open, honest, transparent and fair in their approach. Our ideal candidate would be passionate about promoting well‑being, independence, and social inclusion, creative and enthusiastic in planning activities and events. You will be able to build positive relationships with residents and their families and others. We are looking for somebody who is organised and reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team. You will have a good understanding and/or experience of Social Care or Support Services.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing and delivering a varied programme of activities that support resident’s physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. Activities may include:
- Social events and themed activities
- Health and wellbeing sessions
- Arts, crafts, music, and gentle exercise
- Community engagement opportunities
- One‑to‑one engagement for residents who may feel isolated or vulnerable
You will play an important role in creating a welcoming environment where residents feel valued, respected and connected.
