Are you practical, reliable and proud of creating safe, clean and welcoming environments? We are seeking a committed and proactive Maintenance Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at Tidbury Green School. This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in maintaining our vibrant and growing school community. You will help ensure that our buildings and grounds remain safe, secure, clean and well maintained for our children, staff and visitors every day.

Responsibilities:

  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently using their own initiative
  • Work effectively both as part of a team and individually
  • Carry out cleaning and maintenance duties to a consistently high standard
  • Respond positively and professionally to unexpected issues as they arise
  • Monitor and report cleaning supplies and maintenance requirements
  • Follow health and safety procedures carefully and responsibly
  • Be adaptable and willing to support additional duties where required, including alarm call-outs
  • Take responsibility for opening and/or securing the school site
  • Liaise confidently with contractors, visitors and external agencies
  • Contribute positively to the smooth running and presentation of the school environment
  • Takes pride in their work and has excellent attention to detail
  • Is dependable, flexible and hardworking
  • Enjoys being part of a supportive team
  • Understands the importance of maintaining a safe and welcoming school environment

Salary Range: Band B; £24796-£25583 per annum Pro-rata salary; £13403-£13828

Hours: 4:00am - 8:00am Monday - Friday

Contract: Full Year, 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service. Flexible adjustments to hours may be considered for the right candidate.
