We have an excellent opportunity for a qualified Food and Safety Officer to join our busy professional and friendly Food and Safety Team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and guidance on regulatory and enforcement issues.
- Carry out food hygiene inspections and investigations, including the preparation of reports for formal action and the service of statutory notices.
- Engage with a range of stakeholders and manage situations involving conflict with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Support the team by contributing to continuous improvement of services for residents.
Qualifications:
- A relevant Environmental Health qualification.
- Professional registration with CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health).
- Experience of providing advice and guidance on regulatory and enforcement issues.
- Proven knowledge of legal processes and effective evidence gathering.
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle to attend meetings and move around sites in the Borough where much of the teamβs work is delivered.
