We’re looking for exceptional Deputy Managers to help lead our residential services – supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live fulfilling, safe and meaningful lives. We are currently recruiting for two full‑time Deputy Manager positions within our residential services. One opportunity is a permanent post based at Stapleton Drive, and the other is a temporary role at Creynolds Lane. However, we take a ‘one service’ approach – and Deputy Managers may be required to work at any location across the services in the borough of Solihull. Both roles offer the chance to play a key part in leading high‑quality care, supporting dedicated teams, and making a meaningful difference to the lives of those we support.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will:
- Lead the service in the absence of the Registered Manager.
- Manage, motivate and develop a dedicated care team.
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards with a focus on quality and sustainability.
- Support service stability and continuous improvement through practical leadership.
- Balance oversight with a visible, hands‑on presence in the service.
- Champion person‑centred care and robust safeguarding practice.
- Share best practice and support service development.
You will also play a vital role in ensuring consistent leadership across the service, taking part in a 24‑hour on‑call rota and working flexibly across evenings, weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota, helping to maintain high‑quality care and support when it matters most.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in residential or care settings supporting complex needs.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and care regulations.
- Experience leading, supervising and supporting staff teams.
- Confidence in decision‑making, with strong communication and IT skills.
- Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent (or willingness to work towards).
