Due to increased pupil numbers, we are looking to recruit an exceptional Early Years Practitioner to join our Monkeys Childcare team. This role involves working with our youngest children, aged 2-4 years old, and supporting us in providing a warm, nurturing and stimulating early years environment. We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic practitioner who can support high-quality childcare and early education, and who shares our commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and working in strong partnership with families.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Assist children with settling into routines and confidently support their wellbeing and development.
  • Act as a Key Worker for designated children, building strong, positive relationships with them and their families.
  • Plan, prepare, evaluate and adapt learning experiences in line with the EYFS and children's needs.
  • Regularly observe and assess children's progress and use this to inform next steps.
  • Promote positive behaviour, values and attitudes, following established policies.
  • Create and maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment - setting up, clearing away and ensuring equipment is safe.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a professional, motivated team and communicate well with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Show flexibility, creativity and a commitment to delivering outstanding childcare.
  • Undertake duties that contribute to the effective running of the provision.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Early Years/Childcare.
  • Recent safeguarding training; willingness to obtain Paediatric First Aid quickly if not already held.
  • Experience working in an Early Years setting, with understanding of the EYFS and child development.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to form positive, professional relationships with families.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
