37 hours per week, 38 weeks term time We are seeking a BSLI Interpreter qualified to a minimum of BSL Level 3 to join our team based at Solihull College & University Centre. Providing support to Deaf students on different courses across the College, you will provide communication support through interpreting spoken English into British Sign Language (BSL) and BSL into spoken English. You will play a key role in enabling students to access learning and fully participate in college life. The successful candidate will be empathetic, innovative, organised and dependable, with excellent communication skills, and will support students in and outside of the classroom. It is essential you have experience of supporting Deaf or Hearing-Impaired students within an educational environment. Predominantly based at Blossomfield College, there may be a requirement for the successful applicant to work at the other College campuses as required. Successfully shortlisted candidates will have to complete a BSL skills test as part of the recruitment process.
