We require a professional Animal Care Technician to join our existing team of Technicians to assist with the running and maintenance of the College’s Animal Welfare Centre which houses a huge variety of small and large animals, including hoof stock and poultry, pet species, exotic mammals, birds and herptiles all in purposely designed buildings.
This post is based at our Blossomfield Campus and will include weekday and weekend working plus bank holiday rotation. The working day for this role is Tuesday.
Duties will include:
- Routine animal health procedures
- Basic husbandry
- Developing enrichment
- Supporting work placement students
- Assisting and supporting lecturers and students during practical lessons
Successful applicants will hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Animal Management or the equivalent, as well as significant experience in working with animals.
