Join Our Student Services Team and Champion Inclusive Education. Are you a driven and compassionate leader with a commitment to supporting learners with additional needs? We are seeking an experienced and passionate Additional Needs Manager to lead and develop our College’s Additional Needs provision. This is a pivotal role within Student Services, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and delivering a high-quality, inclusive support service for learners with additional needs.

You will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight, working closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure students receive the support they need to achieve, progress, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • To lead and manage the college’s Additional Needs provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice and Equality Act.
  • To oversee teams including dyslexia support, deaf support, SENCo, EHCP, and support tutors.
  • To manage funding streams (e.g., High Needs funding) and ensure accurate data reporting.
  • To drive quality improvement processes and staff development initiatives.
  • To liaise with local authorities and represent the college in formal proceedings, including tribunals and mediation.
  • To ensure smooth transitions for learners from school to college and support HE students applying for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA).
