About the Team
The SaaS and Hosting team supports organizational transformation toward microservices, Application Managed Services, and Hosted Services in the cloud at a global scale. We enable organizations to transform their IT infrastructure and improve operational efficiencies using AWS and other Solifi technologies. Our services emphasize elasticity, scalability, security, and reliability of the cloud.
About the Position
- Good understanding of IP networking (physical and virtual), DNS and Active Directory, SSL certificates (PKI).
- Experience with databases, SQL queries, backup & recovery (SQL Server, Oracle).
- Ability to analyse traffic for common services (DNS, FTP, email) is a plus.
- Exposure to enterprise monitoring tools.
- Experience with Java Application Server management (JBoss, WildFly).
- Security-focused mindset to enforce security standards in environments and collaborations.
- Technologies used: AWS (nice to have), VMware (preferred), Windows Server, firewalls, physical servers, switches.
- Understanding of information security issues and standards such as SSAE16 and ISO 27001.
- ITIL certification is an asset.
Role and Responsibilities
- Create reports and analyse performance trends to identify potential improvements or deficiencies.
- Provide analytical value creation initiatives to enable prioritization efforts.
- Understand SLAs and KPIs, define new metrics where appropriate.
- Record, track, assess, and escalate risks and issues related to CALMS critical services.
- Focus on Problem Management goals and initiatives; track and implement improvements.
- Build good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Manage Windows Server-based hosted environments (environment builds, network/storage management, firewall and switch configuration, patching, monitoring).
- Deploy and maintain Solifi hosted software solutions on Java/JBoss/WildFly stack with SQL Server or Oracle databases.
- Liaise with DevOps and Service Delivery teams to ensure consistent delivery of software services.
- Ensure hosting services comply with SSAE16, ISAE3402, ISO 27001 and other relevant standards.
- Work with hosting team to deploy security policies and procedures in line with industry benchmarks and regulatory requirements.
- Implement monitoring tools to align with contractual obligations, SLAs, and KPIs.
- Produce up-to-date documentation and take responsibility for customer escalations, including out-of-hours support as required.
- Prioritise activities according to client needs and team objectives; undertake other projects as required by senior management.
