The software is designed to streamline and optimise machining operations, helping manufacturing companies achieve greater efficiency. SolidCAM UK is dedicated to providing top-tier technical support, training, and solutions to its diverse client base, supporting innovation in the manufacturing sector.

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Application Engineer based in Barnsley or Stratford upon Avon (depending on applicants location). The Application Engineer will provide technical support, training, perform software demonstrations, assist in integrating SolidCAM's software with customer systems, and address client-specific needs. Responsibilities include resolving technical issues, conducting software tests, and creating innovative solutions for customers. The candidate will also collaborate closely with the team to develop new functionalities and support diverse engineering projects.

Qualifications and duties:

  • Proficiency in Technical Support and familiarity with assisting users in resolving software-related issues.
  • Knowledge of Software Development processes, including understanding of CAD/CAM tools and software customization.
  • Educational background or experience in Mechanical Engineering, with practical application in manufacturing environments using CNC machines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction and teamwork.
  • Relevant experience in CAM programming is essential, with knowledge of milling and turning applications.
  • Customer Support via our web-based eSupport system/telephone.
  • Customer Site visits.
  • Training on-site or off-site.
  • Ability to travel throughout the UK.
