The IT Operations Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to users within the organization, ensuring that all hardware, software, and peripheral devices are functioning efficiently. The role involves troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and maintaining the overall health of IT systems, both remotely and on-site. The engineer will also be involved in the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of IT equipment and software and BAU IT security Maintenace., * IT Operations:

  • Manage day-to-day IT operations, including troubleshooting technical issues, overseeing IT support services, and managing user accounts.

  • Provide IT support for local and remote teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the UK, US, and India offices.

  • Maintain and manage office equipment, with a focus on the London office.

  • Maintain MDM implementation for management of company’s macOS & Windows devices

  • Ensure that all IT equipment is kept in good working order and report any and resolve any issues

  • IT Security:

  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including updates and patches for operating systems and software.

  • Manage and monitor antivirus and endpoint protection systems.

  • Educate users on best practices for IT security and data protection.

  • IT Strategy and Planning:

  • Evaluate and recommend IT solutions that align with the company’s goals and growth plans.

  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to improve efficiency and security.

  • Training and Documentation:

  • Manage IT onboarding for new hires

  • Provide training to employees on IT security best practices and the use of IT tools.

  • Inventory Management:

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware and software assets.

  • Coordinate with the procurement team to manage the lifecycle of IT equipment, including ordering, deployment, and disposal.

  • Network and Connectivity:

  • Assist in troubleshooting network connectivity issues, including LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connections.

  • Support the setup and maintenance of network printers, scanners, and other shared devices

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician).

  • Proven experience in a desktop support or similar IT role.

  • Experience with various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and helpdesk ticketing systems.

This role is hybrid, with a requirement to be in the London office one day a week. The candidate must be able to support teams in different time zones (UK, US, and India).
