We’re looking for a Technical Joinery Designer who can create detailed 3D models using SolidWorks. You will translate luxury concepts into precision manufacturing drawings, ensuring every bespoke piece meets the highest standards of craftsmanship while mentoring the wider design team.
Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality 3D constructional models and detailed production drawings using SolidWorks 2025
- Liaise directly with the in-house workshop to ensure all designs are buildable, practical, and optimised for craftsmanship
- Oversee the full lifecycle of a project, ensuring drawing sheets are ready for client approval, manufacturing, and on-site fitting
- Act as the internal SolidWorks expert, providing software training and guidance to junior designers
- Work closely with management, external architects, and stakeholders to deliver complex, large-scale interior fit-outs
Experiences required:
- Proficient in using SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings for manufacture (DFM)
- Background working in a manufacturing environment and collaborating with workshop teams
- Deep joinery and material knowledge across timber products (highly desirable)
- Experience with SWOOD CAM and SolidWorks PDM is an advantage
- Ability to create high-quality visualisations/renders is desirable
