We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and development of complex mechanical systems and products.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, analysis, and development of complex mechanical systems and products.
- Take ownership of major projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and manufacturable solutions.
- Oversee and contribute to prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., EMC, safety, RoHS).
- Participate in and lead design reviews, risk assessments, and root cause analysis.
- Work with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing, QA) to ensure seamless product integration.
- Support continuous improvement in engineering standards, processes, and documentation.
Experiences required:
- Has experience in leading the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies and systems from concept through to production.
- Is experienced in creating detailed 3D CAD models (SolidWorks), engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Can conduct and review engineering calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) for strength, thermal, and dynamic performance.
- Practical workshop build, assembly and prototyping.
- Can guide junior engineers and provide technical mentorship.
