They serve high-end construction and joinery projects across the UK, delivering quality at every stage.

We are seeking a Technical Joinery Designer to lead digital construction for bespoke timber doorsets. You will utilise SolidWorks and SWOOD to convert architectural designs into parametric, manufacture-ready models, driving CNC production and ensuring strict compliance with fire-rating standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage parametric libraries for timber doorsets, ensuring models automatically adjust for varying dimensions and leaf thicknesses.
  • Create and maintain complex configurations within SolidWorks to handle diverse ironmongery sets, lock cut-outs, and intumescent seal specifications.
  • Produce detailed technical drawings for bespoke joinery, specifically focusing on timber interfaces, veneering details, and frame assemblies.
  • Utilise SWOOD to automate the generation of CNC programmes, grain‑matched cutting lists, and production‑ready documentation.
  • Coordinate with the ironmongery schedule to ensure all hardware prep, from hinges to electronic strikes, is accurately represented in the 3D model.
  • Ensure all designs remain compliant with fire‑rating (FD30-120) and security (PAS24) certifications.
  • Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the procurement of timber, veneers, and specialist hardware.
Experiences required:
  • Proven background in technical design for bespoke joinery.
  • Advanced SolidWorks skills, with a heavy emphasis on using parametric modelling and configurations to manage product variations.
  • Strong understanding of Design for Manufacture and Assembly, ensuring designs are optimised for efficient workshop assembly and site installation.
