As a Product Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the end -to -end development of innovative heating products. This hands -on role combines creative industrial design with practical engineering, developing sketches and concepts that evolve into SolidWorks 3D parametric models and progress through prototyping, laboratory testing and final production.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to<\/b>
<\/div>
  • Develop conceptual design sketches using Adobe Creative Suite and utilise SolidWorks Visualize for new stove technologies and product ranges
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Create detailed 3D parametric models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Design components using Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Build and iterate prototypes in collaboration with workshop technicians
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Support the use of CNC, laser cutting and press brake equipment
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Conduct product testing within the in -house combustion laboratory
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Ensure compliance with UK Ecodesign regulations and relevant industry standards
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Investigate new materials and technologies, including specialist steels, ceramics and advanced combustion systems
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Produce technical documentation and development reports
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Occasionally support overseas manufacturing projects where required<\/span>
    <\/li><\/ul>
    Experiences required<\/b>
    <\/div>
    • Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Strong experience using SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD software (e.g. Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge, PTC Creo, Onshape or Fusion 360)
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Excellent understanding of parametric modelling and product development processes
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Illustrator and InDesign) for design communication and concept development
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Previous experience within R&D or manufacturing product development<\/span>
