Due to recent project wins, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contract Product Development Designer to join an established 3-person design team. Responsibilities:

  • Engineer detailed 3D SolidWorks models, assemblies, and general arrangement drawings from supplied design concepts ready for prototyping and mass manufacture.
  • Develop cost-effective, multi-material components, focusing heavily on joinery, sheet metalwork, and signage.
  • Design bespoke and rollout interior solutions, including reception desks, barista bars, retail displays, POS units, store aisle end caps, promotional fixtures, and wall panelling.
  • Liaise with internal project managers and external manufacturing partners to resolve technical details and ensure smooth production handovers.

Experiences required:

  • Advanced 3D modelling and assembly capabilities (SolidWorks 2024 or newer).
  • Strong, hands-on technical understanding of Joinery and Metalwork (sheet metal, box/tube sections) combined with proven DFM experience.
  • Prior background in retail displays, commercial furniture, branded interiors, or POS fixtures.
  • Must supply your own Mobile CAD Workstation and SolidWorks Licence.
