Location – Site‑based, London
Our client is delivering a critical infrastructure project involving the installation of steelwork and fire cladding within a 660‑metre tunnel. You will work directly alongside the Project Lead to finalise complex engineering assemblies for one of the UK’s most high‑profile transport hubs. The project is currently managed by a single Lead Engineer who requires a dedicated SolidWorks expert to transition modelled components into a comprehensive library of "as‑built" assemblies and client‑ready drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Producing a large volume of "as‑built" models based on site‑specific installations
- Generating fully assembled drawings for complex steelwork and cladding systems
- Developing a series of 42 dimensional drawings (3D/2D) for client approval
- Conducting on‑site visits as required to verify dimensions and progress
- Collaborating closely with the Project Lead to ensure all engineering aspects meet stringent tunnel standards
- Due to the nature of the projects, there is an expectation to work night shifts (typically 11:00pm to 4:30am) for approximately two nights every 2–3 weeks
Experiences required:
- Expert‑level proficiency in SolidWorks is essential
- Proven background in Engineering, specifically with steelwork and cladding systems
- Experience producing high‑accuracy as‑built drawings for large‑scale infrastructure
- Self‑sufficiency: The contractor must provide their own workstation and SolidWorks license
- Ability to work independently as part of a small, senior‑level team
