The Role

We are looking for a naturally organised, detail driven accounts assistant, confident working with numbers. You take pride in accuracy, enjoy bringing structure to busy workloads, and follow tasks through to completion. You communicate clearly, work well with others, and aren’t afraid to ask questions or suggest improvements. Most importantly, you’re proactive, eager to learn, and motivated to develop your finance skills within a supportive team — whether that means growing your knowledge or working towards a finance qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete multi currency bank reconciliations accurately and on time
  • Support month end processes, including prepayments, accruals, expenses, and fixed asset reconciliations
  • Assist with cash posting and generate sales invoices when required
  • Process invoices, expenses, and payments for the Group PLC entity
  • Maintain accurate financial records across all ledgers
  • Support credit control activities and handle supplier queries professionally
  • Assist with reporting, administrative tasks, and ad hoc finance projects

Skills & Experience

  • Strong Excel skills (formulas, data handling, spreadsheets)
  • High numeracy and confidence working with financial data
  • Ability to learn new systems and digital tools quickly
  • Comfortable handling queries and following up on outstanding items
  • Team oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues
  • Flexible approach to shared tasks and month end deadlines
  • Experience in accounts
  • Finance related degree or equivalent
  • Studying towards a finance qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, etc.)
