The Role

Active Silicon is a market‑leading designer and manufacturer of advanced computer imaging products used across life sciences, medical imaging, robotics, manufacturing, security, and scientific applications worldwide. We are looking for a proactive and organised Sales Operations Associate to join our commercial team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, data, systems and processes, whilst helping to improve the way a growing technology business operates. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will play a key role in supporting sales operations, managing customer enquiries, maintaining CRM data, coordinating quotations and helping develop AI‑enabled workflows and automation processes that improve efficiency across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their commercial career who is looking to develop their skills and build a future in Sales Operations, Commercial Operations, Account Management or Business Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate inbound sales enquiries, ensuring timely responses and effective routing.
  • Support quotation preparation, pricing workflows and sales administration activities.
  • Maintain accurate customer, opportunity and sales pipeline information within the CRM system.
  • Support sales forecasting, reporting, order‑book administration and distributor management activities.
  • Conduct customer due diligence checks and maintain accurate commercial records.
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, Customer Support and Commercial teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, eliminate manual tasks and introduce more efficient ways of working.
  • Support the development and implementation of AI tools, workflow automation and process improvements across the sales function.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer service, data quality and operational efficiency.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in Business, Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, data and AI tools.
  • A genuine interest in technology, automation and process improvement.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Experience in sales administration, customer support, commercial operations, CRM administration or business support would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Previous exposure to AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot or similar technologies would be beneficial.
  • Willingness to learn technical products and commercial processes.
