We are seeking a relationship-led Business Development Manager to drive growth within our Defence & Secure Communications business unit. You will work closely with defence customers and partners to identify operational needs and deliver solutions through a consultative, end-user-focused approach. This role suits individuals with defence experience who understand operational challenges and can engage credibly with military and government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage long-term relationships with defence and government customers
  • Identify and pursue strategic opportunities within secure communications
  • Support field trials, demonstrations, and operational exercises
  • Engage directly with end users to understand requirements and propose solutions
  • Collaborate with technical and engineering teams on solution development
  • Represent the business at defence events, tradeshows, and customer engagements
  • Build strong knowledge of our product portfolio including Wave Relay

Skills & Experience

  • Proven business development or commercial experience in defence or government sectors
  • Understanding of defence procurement and MoD structures
  • Experience engaging with end users in operational environments
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • PowerPoint and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Knowledge of MANET / wireless communications desirable
  • Networking, IP, or RF knowledge advantageous
  • Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (DV preferred)
