As a Buyer and Material Planner, you will play an integral role in ensuring that the materials necessary for production are procured and available when needed. You will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager, collaborating with colleagues and suppliers to execute purchasing and material planning activities effectively. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will help foster strong working relationships, while your resilience will drive tasks to completion, ensuring the seamless fulfilment of sales orders in our fast-paced environment.

Hours of Work: Full-time position with flexibility to suit both personal and operational needs.

Salary: £30-35k per annum

Buyer and Material Planner Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a purchasing-related role, or commercial experience in internal sales.
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes and managing the delivery of goods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive mindset to nurture relationships with team members and suppliers.
  • Experience as a Buyer, or internal sales or material planning role, using ERP systems such as SAP or Epicor.
  • Experience of working in ERP systems such as SAP and Epicor to view production and/or sales orders and create/maintain records for materials and suppliers.
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment where engineering design, bills of materials, production and materials planning are operational norms.
