The Role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to play a key role in developing our next generation of imaging products. This is a hands‑on role within a multidisciplinary engineering team where you will contribute from concept through to production — designing robust electro‑mechanical solutions and supporting product delivery into global markets. You will also support process improvements and contribute to continuous development of mechanical design standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
  • Produce and maintain drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation
  • Manage 3D libraries for mechanical and PCB integration
  • Support prototyping, testing, validation, and product release
  • Collaborate with electronics, production, and quality teams
  • Troubleshoot production and field‑related mechanical issues
  • Support suppliers and manufacturing partners
  • Contribute to design reviews and continuous improvement
  • Support migration and optimisation of CAD systems and processes

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience designing electro‑mechanical products
  • Advanced SolidWorks proficiency
  • Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
  • Experience producing engineering documentation and BOMs
  • Practical, hands‑on engineering mindset
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Experience in computer vision / camera systems
  • Exposure to PCB design collaboration (e.g. Altium)
  • Experience in regulated industries (medical, defence, aerospace)
  • Thermal or stress analysis knowledge
  • Experience taking products from concept to production
  • MRP / BOM version control experience
