The Role: We are looking for a dedicated Production Technician to join our manufacturing team at Steatite Antennas in Leominster. In this hands-on role, you will support the construction, assembly, testing and production of bespoke RF and electrical products used within demanding and mission-critical environments. Working within a technical manufacturing setting, you will help ensure the highest standards of quality, precision and reliability are consistently achieved. This is a full-time, site-based permanent position.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret technical instructions and engineering drawing packs
- Assemble RF and electrical products using hand and power tools
- Inspect components, sub-assemblies and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Carry out soldering and intricate assembly activities
- Test finished products and diagnose faults where required
- Convert stock materials into production components
- Maintain accurate production records and report issues
- Support continuous improvement and collaborate with other departments
- Ensure safe working practices and adherence to company procedures
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, assembly or production environment
- Background within an electrical or mechanical discipline desirable
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Soldering experience and assembly skills
- Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Positive, adaptable and solution-focused approach
