The Role

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Multiskilled Machinist to join our busy manufacturing team in Leominster.

Working within a fast-paced engineering environment, you will be responsible for machining precision components using manual mills and lathes, primarily working with aluminium and thermoplastics. The role will also involve assembly and bench fitting of antenna components, ensuring all products meet required specifications and quality standards.

Hours of Work:

08:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Thursday
08:30am – 2:00pm Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Machining precision components using manual mills and lathes
  • Working with aluminium, thermoplastics and other materials
  • Assembling antenna components and carrying out bench fitting activities
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings accurately
  • Using measurement equipment to ensure component precision and quality
  • Operating manual workshop equipment including band saws, grinders and linishers
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience operating manual mills and lathes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience using precision measurement tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience within a machining, manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Relevant technical qualification or equivalent practical experience desirable
  • Additional advantageous skills: CNC programming experience
  • Brazing or soldering experience
