The Role We are seeking an experienced Head of Quality to provide strategic leadership across all Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Compliance activities within Steatite. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this senior leadership role will operate across our Redditch and Tewkesbury sites, supporting defence, industrial computing and transportation sectors within a highly regulated Tier One supply environment. You will be responsible for driving the quality strategy, strengthening compliance, leading continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring products and services consistently meet the highest customer and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement the business Quality Strategy across multiple operational sites Lead and maintain Quality Management Systems aligned to AS9100, ISO9001, ISO14001 and defence-related standards Oversee internal and external audit programmes and ensure ongoing audit readiness Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, APQP and PPAP methodologies Monitor quality KPIs, risk management and operational performance metrics Lead supplier quality and customer quality activities Support digitalisation and optimisation of quality systems and reporting processes Provide leadership, coaching and development to the Quality team Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Programme Management teams Skills
