The predicted salary is between 50000 - 60000 £ per year.

This role requires BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance. Due to the nature of the role, there may also be a future requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance, subject to project needs.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the Steatite Communications team in Redditch. Reporting to the Communications Program Manager, you will manage technically complex communications and network projects from concept through to delivery, working across defence and secure communications environments. This is a customer‑facing role requiring strong stakeholder management, supplier coordination and end‑to‑end project governance.

You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered against cost, quality and timescale objectives whilst supporting continuous improvement across project delivery and service management activities. Hybrid working is available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex communications and defence‑focused projects from initiation to delivery
  • Manage project governance, risk, quality assurance and compliance activities
  • Develop and maintain project plans, reporting dashboards and performance metrics
  • Build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and third‑party suppliers
  • Manage project budgets, timelines and commercial deliverables
  • Support continuous improvement within project delivery and service management
  • Ensure supplier performance and service levels meet project requirements
  • Collaborate with technical, engineering and operational teams to achieve successful delivery

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience managing technical, IT, communications or defence‑focused projects
  • Prince2 Practitioner or APM PMQ qualification
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies and governance
  • Experience managing stakeholders, suppliers and cross‑functional teams
  • Knowledge of ITIL4, ITSM and Service Level Agreements desirable
  • Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
  • Defence or secure communications background advantageous
  • Ex‑Armed Forces experience welcomed
  • Ability to obtain DV Security Clearance
