Manufacturing Engineer – Electronics Permanent Full-Time Salary – Circa £32,000 DOE Location – Office Based in Ulverston We\’re proud to be supporting a leading innovator in underwater imaging and sensing technology. With over 30 years of experience, the company designs and manufactures advanced sonar systems, navigation tools, and depth-sensing equipment for subsea applications. Their solutions enhance safety and performance in extreme environments, serving clients globally. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with electronics experience to support NPI, streamline production processes, resolve faults, develop documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. Responsibilities, but are not limited to Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) for advanced electronic systems, ensuring Design for Manufacturability (DFM) from concept to production Design and implement custom tooling, jigs, and test fixtures to streamline assembly and testing processes Diagnose and resolve component-level faults in both production and prototype builds Develop and maintain clear production documentation, including SOPs, build guides, and test instructions Train and support technicians in assembly, diagnostics, and best practices Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and yield Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and assist in material qualification and supplier engagement Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, design, and supply chain teams to meet production goalsExperiences required HND/HNC or Degree in Electronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field Experience in electronics manufacturing and process engineering Strong hands-on skills in PCB assembly, fault diagnosis, and test development Solid understanding of lean manufacturing, DFM, and NPI processes Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPackage 37.5 Hours P/W | Monday to Thursday | Flexible Hours | 33 Days Holiday Inc.
