We are looking for an experienced and commercially aware Project Manager to oversee a range of plumbing remedials, AMR installations, underground leak repairs, water efficiency projects and associated civils works across commercial environments nationwide. This is a hands-on role managing projects from quotation through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget. You will manage a small internal team alongside specialist subcontractors and play a key role in driving operational performance, customer satisfaction and future growth opportunities. The role is primarily home based, with regular travel to customer sites and occasional visits to regional offices as required.

Key Responsibilities for the Project Manager:

  • Project Delivery
    • Manage plumbing remedial, AMR and submeter installation projects from initial quotation through to completion
    • Oversee underground leak repairs, new water supply installations and remedial works on private commercial water infrastructure
    • Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
    • Monitor project costs, timelines and customer communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Subcontractor & Resource Management
    • Manage subcontractor performance, compliance and quality standards
    • Coordinate internal field resources and plumbing teams across multiple projects
    • Support operational planning, scheduling and resource allocation
    • Obtain and assess subcontractor quotations to ensure cost-effective delivery
  • Customer & Operational Support
    • Maintain strong communication with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
    • Resolve technical and operational issues relating to plumbing, metering, leak repair and water efficiency services
    • Identify opportunities for additional works and service improvements
    • Support the wider business as a subject matter expert within your specialist area
  • Health & Safety
    • Ensure compliance with RAMS, company procedures and health & safety legislation
    • Promote a positive safety culture across all projects and field activities
    • Ensure safe systems of work are consistently followed
  • Systems & Tools
    • Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Internal project and operational systems

About You

  • Proven experience managing plumbing, civils or water infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of water regulations, CDM regulations and commercial project delivery
  • Experience managing subcontractors and field-based teams
  • Commercially aware with strong organisational and project management skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong IT literacy and attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence
