Job Description

We are seeking an experienced 3D Printing Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, training, and installing 3D printers across the UK & Ireland. They will work closely with our engineering and sales teams to provide technical support for our 3D printing products and services.

 

Job description

As a Technical Engineer at Solid Print3D, you will be working within our Technical Team in a full-time role. You will have the opportunity to get hands on with modern manufacturing technologies both in our office and on customer site.

The position requires you to:

  • Understand, solve and present solutions to engineering Additive Manufacturing related challenges
  • Provide excellent training and support to new and advanced 3D printer users
  • Work with existing customers to help achieve effective systems deployment
  • Work across various industries whilst continually developing advanced and varied 3D Printing skills
  • Assisting with servicing and maintenance of machines
  • To work independently and as part of a team
  • Learn different aspects of the business from technical support to logistics, to customer demonstrations and sales
  • Be willing to travel to customer sites across the UK. This may also include visits abroad

 

Requirements for this position

  • At least 1 year of experience in 3D printing, engineering or a related field (we will consider placement students)
  • Familiarity with a variety of 3D printing technologies and equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Product Design or a related field
  • Experience with CAD software and 3D modelling
  • Familiarity with industrial 3D printing applications
  • Previous experience in electrical systems, installations, or maintenance
  • Experience providing technical support or training to customers

 

Salary

£24,000 – £28,000 based on experience
