SolidWorks Design Engineer Permanent Full-Time Salary – Circa £40,000 DOE Location – In office, Hull We're excited to be supporting a specialist in delivering innovative energy recovery solutions, including circular waste heat recovery units and waste-to-energy power plants. They offer precision fabrication, prototyping, bespoke machinery design, and technical support, leveraging advanced tools like SolidWorks and Siemens NX. Specialising in sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, and design for manufacture (DFM). Due to increasing demand and growth, they seek an ambitious Junior or Midweight SolidWorks Design Engineer to join their team of experts. Responsibilities, but are not limited to Create precise 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring alignment with project requirements Design and develop welded products, including pressure vessels, boilers, gantries, and heat exchangers Collaborate with engineers to refine designs, optimize performance, and enhance manufacturing processes Prepare technical documentation, such as design specifications, assembly instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) Liaise with suppliers and production teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project delivery Prioritize safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout the design processExperiences required Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modelling or similar software, such as Inventor, Solid Edge, Creo, CATIA, Siemens NX, or Fusion 360 Competent in creating 2D drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent software, such as DraftSight, TurboCAD, or Solid Edge Experienced in producing detailed technical drawing packs for manufacturing (DFM) Skilled in nesting drawings for sheet metal fabrication Knowledgeable about weldment processes, including the use of CAD for design and documentation Experience in stress analysis using SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS, Abaqus, Altair or Nastran is beneficial Package 40 Hours P/W | Monday to Friday | Flexible Working Hours | 33 Days Holiday Inc.
