We are recruiting for multiple Paralegals to join our Investigations directorate on a 12-month fixed term contract basis. This is a hybrid role.

About Investigations

We investigate reports and complaints about solicitors and others we regulate. These investigations arise from behaviour both within and outside of practice, will vary in length and complexity and we apply a range of factors to decide on what action we should take.

Responsibilities

  • Review large volumes of information and documents to identify evidence or issues
  • Collate bundles of paperwork for use in misconduct proceedings
  • Draft documents to a high standard
  • Analyse technical and legal information
  • Provide findings orally and in writing

You will work both independently and under direction, be flexible and meet competing priorities within defined timescales. Your primary focus is supporting Investigation Officers and managing a varied caseload.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experienced Paralegals from law firms, investigations or similar regulatory organisations with a law degree or equivalent
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for various stakeholders
  • Highly organised, reliable, self‑managed and prioritises tasks
  • High literacy and numeracy; able to understand complex information
  • Able to collate large bundles of documents
  • Analyse technical and legal information, pinpoint key evidence and recommend actions

Location & Work Arrangements

We are recruiting in Birmingham, Cardiff and London. You will be based in the office nearest to you, with the expectation of working 1-2 days a week in the office and the remainder from home.
