The role involves managing and successfully delivering multiple key external facing digital/software development projects. As an IT Project Manager reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will join a friendly and supportive team that delivers and drives the organisation's commitment to change and continuous improvement. Working with teams across the organisation, you will manage the full project lifecycle. Using your knowledge and experience, you will follow processes, manage governance and risk to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of IT projects within budget and time restraints.
Developing good business relationships is key for this role. Using your excellent relationship management skills, you will liaise with project sponsors to agree project deliverables, timings, and expected benefits. As a competent negotiator with the ability to influence others, you will build and develop project teams and be comfortable matrix managing conflict and performance when needed. You will build joint working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels to align the elements of the project.

What we are looking for:
- A team-orientated individual who can provide clear direction to groups or individuals to achieve the project objectives and outputs.
- Ability to handle multiple end-to-end projects in a predominantly waterfall environment in Business Change and IT Transformation solutions and manage stakeholders with competing deadlines and priorities.
- Experience of creating and managing project plans effectively and proactively, alongside risks and issues.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills in details - to manage own time, work effectively with minimum supervision and plan the work of the project team.
- Experience of working with PMO governance in the provision of timely updates and completion of key project collateral.
- Experience of creating succinct and detailed reports & presentations, that include PIDs; Business Cases; steering/governance group slides.
- Experience of managing external consultants/suppliers under a statement of works.
This is a hybrid role and will be based in our Birmingham office 1 to 2 days a week, and from home the rest of the week.
