Are you looking for a hands-on technical role?

The SRA are looking for an Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer to support the SRA\’s Azure and on-premises infrastructure and services.

This is a senior engineering role within the team reporting to the Infrastructure Manager as part of IT Operations function within IT Department. You will take responsibility for troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of the Azure and on-premises infrastructure estate. You\’ll be responsible for third level technical expertise, build and support.

Working with colleagues you will have experience of ensuring compliance within information security policies and procedures, developing, and maintaining technical documentation, providing technical expertise for project build and implementation and driving continual service improvement across the Service and Operations function.

Working with the infrastructure manager, you\\\’ll play a key role in developing the skills of the wider team, fostering continuous learning culture and technical excellence.

  • Hybrid working consisting of home working and an office presence of up to two days a week in our office in The Cube, Birmingham.

What we are looking for

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative and results oriented approach towards issue resolution with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build good relationships at all levels
  • Strong experience of Microsoft Azure services, resources, and integrations such as but not limited to Entra ID, Enterprise Application, API management, SSO, App Services, Function/Logic Apps
  • Knowledge and experience in the Microsoft Well-Architected Framework (WAF)
  • Strong experience of supporting Business Continuity/Disaster recover planning and testing. This includes experience managing and maintaining key back-up technologies such as Azure Recovery Services Vaults, Azure Site Recovery and AvePoint
  • Strong experience of PowerShell scripting across the Microsoft platforms
  • Proficient in administering Microsoft Office 365 platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange and Teams
  • AZ-104 Azure Administrator/AZ-305 Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions/SC-300 Identity and Access Administrator Associate qualification or equivalent.
