We are recruiting for Authorisation Caseworkers – Level 2 (internally known as Authorisation Officer – Level 2) on a permanent basis. The Authorisation function of the SRA is one of the largest operational teams within the organisation. As an Authorisation Caseworker you will assist in delivering the team's regulatory objectives and make sure that the associated processes meet the relevant service levels and key performance indicators. You will make regulatory decisions on a full range of applications for firms and/or individuals that are entering the legal services market. Using our CRM system, you will also be comfortable working with data to ensure information platforms are efficient and kept up to date.

What we are looking for:

  • Casework experience with a focus on making risk based decisions in line with regulatory frameworks
  • Someone who can take ownership, ensuring effective resolution of applications
  • Able to use initiative and workload management skills, with the ability to prioritise
  • An ability to support new and existing staff through various measures such as allocating work, quality assurance, coaching and feedback
  • Someone who can work collaboratively within a team and deliver excellent customer service
  • Someone who can competently draft written correspondence and documents
  • An ability to interrogate data, showcasing excellent IT skills
  • A track record of delivering results against service level agreements
  • Competent user of IT systems.
