We are looking for a well-organised self-starter to join our Finance team as an Assistant Financial Accountant. This role offers a great opportunity for finance professionals looking to progress their careers in a varied role covering treasury management, supporting preparation of Statutory Accounts, tax compliance and monitoring of policies and controls.

This role reports in to the Financial Accounting and Controls Manager and is part of a Finance department of around 15 people. The finance vision is to be a confident and trusted finance service - giving the business the tools, environment and support they need. This role would play a key part in delivering this vision.

In the role of Assistant Financial Accountant, you will work closely with the Financial Accounting and Controls Manager to deliver a strong controls environment, manage cash flows and input to statutory reports and audits. This is a new role which provides a great opportunity to shape how we manage cash flows to receive maximum benefits on investments.

Our financial year end is the end of October, and this period is critical for supporting year end accounting as well as reporting on financial controls. You’ll work collaboratively with the Finance team and wider business as needed.

To be successful in this role you must have good attention to detail, an understanding of financial processes and rules and be able to juggle multiple priorities.
