Overview

In this role you bridge advanced financial analytics with enterprise-scale BI, shaping scalable BI solutions and automating reporting for strategic decision-making. You work with cross-functional teams to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership. You’ll build financial models, optimize data pipelines, and drive governance to support forecasting and valuation. This role offers meaningful impact by aligning BI with business objectives in a fast-paced, data-driven SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain driver-based three-statement financial models for scenario analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and valuation
  • Perform advanced data mining and statistical modelling on large datasets to inform strategic decisions
  • Design and maintain enterprise BI architecture including data models, pipelines, and warehousing
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for data integrity and scalability
  • Create automated dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI and Tableau to monitor performance
  • Integrate BI tools with ERP and CRM systems for unified data access
  • Collaborate with finance, product, and technology teams to refine assumptions and align BI with objectives
  • Present insights to senior executives in a clear, structured format
  • Implement data governance standards and metadata management to ensure compliance
  • Mentor junior analysts and engineers to foster continuous learning and innovation

Key requirements

  • 7+ years of combined experience in financial analysis and BI/data engineering roles
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling
  • Strong experience with SQL, Python, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Expertise in data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and cloud-based data platforms
  • Familiarity with SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, churn) and valuation concepts
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science; MBA/CFA/CFP or equivalent is a plus
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ownership mindset with ability to deliver in fast-paced environments
