The Role

The Database Administrator (DBA) is a critical role for day-to-day operations on maintaining and updating the database and ensuring all client requests can be delivered within the service level agreements (SLAs) that are in place.

What You’ll Do

  • Fulfil day-to-day client and CSM requests that require direct updates and interventions within the database environment.
  • Cleanse and prepare large volumes of client data, ensuring consistency, validity, and readiness for system integration.
  • Maintain and update key driver records, including additions, deletions and modifications.
  • Reformat and align incoming datasets to match internal outline and spreadsheet structures, ensuring compliance with expected formatting protocols.
  • Plumb in eLearning modules and translations content into VRM system, ensuring accurate data linkage and accessibility.
  • Produce monthly analytics reports for CSMs.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cron jobs, addressing failures to ensure critical scripts and automations run successfully and on time.
  • Run data refreshes for clients across weekly, monthly and ad hoc cycles based on unique and customized client specifications.
  • Diagnose and resolve low level database issues, conduct routine backups, maintain database security, address potential data breach exposures, configure environments and perform core file maintenance.
  • Apply client specific Privacy Notices.
  • Manage duplicate override requests sent by the MVR team.

What You’ll Bring

  • A strong foundation in Data Administration.
  • Ability to operate in a high-volume, client facing environment.
  • Previous experience in a heavy data handling role, ideally within Database or System Administration.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high data accuracy and minimal errors.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to function independently while also supporting team work flows.
  • Proven organisational and coordination capabilities, with the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks while tracking progress and ensuring accountability.
  • High IT literacy and solid understanding of relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience using Microsoft Office applications, highly proficient with Excel.
  • Demonstrated success in writing and executing SQL Queries.
  • Basic to intermediate experience in PHP or a strong willingness to learn to support automation and scripting needs.
