The Role

The Associate General Counsel (AGC) is a senior member of the Solera Legal team responsible for providing creative, practical, and business‐oriented legal counsel across a broad range of commercial, corporate, compliance, and operational matters. This leader will serve as a trusted advisor to executives and cross‐functional teams, with a particular focus on supporting Solera’s Fleet businesses.

  • Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure contracts align with new product launches, enhancements, and technical requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in executive‐level presentations, negotiations, and day‐to‐day counseling.
  • 15+ years of legal experience with substantial background in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements; in‐house and supervisory experience required.
  • Experience advising HR on employment law matters, including responding to EEOC and other agency complaints or investigations.
  • Familiarity with consumer credit, financial services, and consumer protection laws (GLBA, CCPA, TCPA, FCRA) is a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex legal issues into practical, business‐focused advice for non‐legal stakeholders.
  • Highly responsive, service‐oriented approach with the ability to influence and support leaders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
