This role will play a crucial part in Solera’s day-to-day operations and initiatives. The successful candidate will possess a deep level of technical experience surrounding identity and access management, focused on production application services support, including Windows and Linux Operating systems, and various proprietary software platforms. While the role centralises around management, deep technical experience, and repeated examples of success in a senior level technical position are required for success.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and resolve complex application issues to ensure optimal performance and usability for the various systems and users, and coordinate with department heads to pinpoint and fix issues.
- Provide 24x7 On-call support on a rotational basis.
- Monitor application performance to measure uptime and downtime and implement strategies to improve availability and performance.
- Manage and resolve technical issues as they arise, provide incident reports, and see through the resolution process to its end.
- Conduct regular reviews of systems to ensure application health, security, and availability.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure software projects are properly implemented and to update applications as required.
- Document procedures and practices in a clear, concise manner, ensuring that the organization can continue to rely on this guidance in the future.
- Responsible for the monitoring, measuring, performance, availability, security, recovery, and throughput of application services.
- Oversee the operational integrity of tools, systems, and infrastructure, including technical or process changes that could impact application services.
What You’ll Bring
- A passion for excellence in delivery of service to customers and colleagues alike.
- A drive to improve operational processes and procedures.
- Strong familiarity with a broad range of technologies: Windows/Linux, multi-tier web applications, middleware (web/app servers, containers, message queues, etc.), containers, databases, networking, Citrix/VDI, etc.
- Strong affinity to automate repetitive tasks, leaning out processes that drive down outages and deliver quick results.
- Familiarity with Public & Private Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), VMware virtualized systems environments.
- Knowledgeable of source control management and CI/CD.
- Good understanding of application architecture, databases, knowledge of Java, .NET, Python preferred.
- Networking architecture understanding (F5, HAProxy).
