You will be joining a company with offices globally across South Africa, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Vietnam, and the UK.

  • Purpose of the role

The HR Advisor will support the People team in delivering strategic people initiatives across the organisation.

In this role, you'll collaborate with leadership on business decisions and projects, providing insights and analysis.

This role is key to driving business performance ensuring processes & policies are adhered to

  • Employee Relations and Performance Management
  • Own employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions and grievances, with the support of the wider People Team
  • Providing day to day performance management guidance to managers and supporting performance improvement plans
  • Own investigations and resolve workplace conflicts in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Supporting the absence management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and coaching for improvement
  • Talent Acquisition & Development
  • Supporting in the selection process, including interviewing candidates and assessing cultural fit
  • Assist with identifying training & development needs
  • Organise training logistics, booking sessions and maintain training records
  • HR Policy and Compliance
  • Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices and promote a positive work environment
  • Providing guidance on HR-related matters, including employment law, equal opportunities, and diversity initiatives, escalating to your line manager where necessary
  • HR Analytics and Reporting
  • Maintain HR systems, specifically Cezanne HR, generating reports and ensuring data accuracy
  • Payroll & Benefits
  • Support with payroll system input and pension reporting
  • Assist in benefits administration including maintaining records of leave, pensions and other entitlements
  • Employee Lifecycle
  • Facilitating onboarding and induction programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
  • Identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions to enhance HR processes and practices.

You will assist with the employee lifecycle from recruiting to probation to ensure we onboard and develop our teams successfully

  • Actively work with Managers in the business to understand the roles and skills needed of the business
  • Working with the Social Committee with Social events including our annual summer and winter parties
  • Supporting the training initiatives and liaising with external stakeholders
  • Administration, general tasks and on-going projects to support the People Culture department and Head Office function

About you

  • CIPD level 3 or equivalent professional qualification preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience in a People & Culture assistant or advisor role
  • Good understanding of employment law and HR best practices
  • Approachable with a professional manner
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach to work
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong time management and a proactive work ethic
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure
