POSITION SUMMARY

As a Lead Stores Operative, you are responsible for the direction and supervision of the day-to-day activities within your team, prioritising tasks to stores operatives across areas including loading bay, goods in/out, Lift area, and ensuring the constant supply of raw materials and packaging to production areas to enable completion of weekly production and bulk plans. Assist to ensure the company RFT and Health and Safety and Environment targets are met. Reporting directly to the Stores Manager and acting as Lead in absence of Line Manager and holiday & absence cover for your team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the direction, supervision and problem solving of the day-to-day activities within your team.
  • Ability to monitor processes, and inspect materials, structures, and equipment as required.
  • Serve as mentor and trainer to existing and new stores operatives, or temporary workers.
  • Organise warehouse inventory counts, weekly warehouse cycle counts and audits as required.
  • Attend in-site meetings, reporting and documenting weekly H&S checks, Racking Inspections, Maximo's.
  • Must understand the operational functions on the Loading Bay, 4t Lift, Goods In and Fluids and Powders departments.
  • Monitor finished goods through COOSPI & LX02 reports and deal with any non-conformances.
  • May be requested to work in other areas of production / departments as required.
  • Assist to ensure all site KPIs are met.
  • Take part in regular meetings with Stores Manager & Lead Operator to discuss Improvements, Training, 6S, Refresher Training, Labour Plans etc.
  • Open to training which will support in the growth of the role and responsibilities.
  • Lead Investigations as and when needed.
  • Lead your team in following and complying to all site rules.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Counterbalance License/Pivot steer (FLEXI).
  • Mentoring skills.
  • Preferably previous production / manufacturing or warehouse experience.
  • Able to understand and adhere to H&S rules and regulations, and company procedures in line with ISO 9002.
  • Knowledge of SAP/Salesforce systems.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Basic PC Skills.
  • Motivated and Enthusiastic Team Player.
  • Willingness to learn and develop as the role evolves.
