The company’s product portfolio includes water treatment chemistries, process aids, functional additives, cleaners, disinfectants, and state‑of‑the‑art monitoring, control and delivery systems. We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Operational Maintenance Coordinator to support safe, efficient and well‑planned maintenance across our production plant and site services. This is a pivotal role at the interface of operations, maintenance and projects, focused on improving reliability, reducing downtime and maintaining high safety standards.
The Role
- Coordinate reactive, planned and project maintenance activities, ensuring work is correctly prioritised, risk‑assessed and ready for execution.
- A key part of the role is maintaining high‑quality SAP PM data, robust EHS controls, and strong workplace organisation through 5S principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prioritise maintenance activities based on risk, asset criticality and operational impact.
- Review and manage SAP PM notifications and work orders, ensuring accuracy, technical quality and readiness for execution.
- Apply the site risk matrix and elevate safety‑critical or regulatory issues promptly.
- Work closely with planners, production and contractors to agree maintenance windows and minimise disruption.
- Ensure all EHS documentation (RAMS, permits, procedures) is in place before work begins.
- Monitor backlog, overdue work and maintenance KPIs, supporting timely close‑out.
- Communicate clearly with operators and supervisors on work scope, safety risks and timings.
- Maintain high standards through 5S, visual management and continuous improvement.
About You
- Minimum 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths, English and Science.
- Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or Engineering (HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Experience in engineering or maintenance (COMAH experience desirable).
- Experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical or other regulated environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of maintenance operations, planning, preventive/predictive strategies and asset lifecycle management.
- Proficient in CMMS systems (SAP PM preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Comfortable leading cross‑functional teams and meetings under time pressure.
- Experience in scheduling and planning; Six Sigma knowledge desirable.
