About The Role
We are seeking an experienced EC&I Engineer to lead electrical, instrumentation, and control compliance across our Bradford Upper Tier COMAH site. Acting as the electrical duty holder, you will ensure all EC&I systems meet safety, regulatory, and reliability standards while driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- EC&I Compliance & Safety: Ensure COMAH and regulatory compliance, maintain Safety Critical Equipment (SCEs), and oversee personnel training and contractor inspections.
- Budget & Cost Management: Control maintenance budgets, review contracts, and support cost optimisation and forecasting.
- Leadership & Development: Foster a high‑performance, accountable culture, oversee documentation, and ensure contractor compliance.
- Contractor & Project Oversight: Manage contractor performance, deliver projects on time and budget, and collaborate with Global Engineering on technical initiatives.
- Maintenance & Shutdown Planning: Plan and coordinate maintenance and shutdowns, ensuring cost‑effective, reliable execution with minimal disruption.
- Incident & Risk Management: Identify risks proactively, lead EC&I‑related HSE interventions, manage breakdowns, and participate in emergency response on‑call rota.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical/EC&I Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience as an Authorized Person (AP) for HV systems; SAP Senior Authorized Person (or working towards).
- Proven track record in COMAH‑regulated or high‑hazard environments (chemical/petrochemical preferred).
- Strong knowledge of asset integrity management, EC&I compliance, and maintenance budgeting.
- Proficiency in SAP CMMS for planning and reporting.
