Weâre looking for a proactive and experienced Environment Advisor to champion environmental compliance, drive continuous improvement, and support occupational hygiene across our UK sites. If youâre motivated by meaningful impact, regulatory excellence and handsâon technical work, this role will suit you perfectly.
What Youâll Do
- Environmental Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Environmental Permits, COMAH, waste legislation and wider environmental law. Lead permit variations, ADMS modelling, noise monitoring, nuisance investigations, land remediation and COMAH Safety Report reviews.
- Regulator Engagement: Act as the primary Environment Agency contact. Lead EA audits, manage followâup actions and ensure consistent, highâquality reporting and communication.
- Environmental Monitoring: Conduct, collate and report MCERTSâstandard monitoring for Solenis and BASF Dealburn Road. Support investigations, modelling and process improvements.
- Occupational Hygiene Monitoring: Develop and maintain monitoring schedules for airborne contaminants, dust, noise and heat stress in line with regulatory and Solenis requirements.
- Management Systems: Support RC14001 implementation through procedures, cluster rollâout and internal auditing.
- Data & Performance: Collate and report EHS performance data, support KPI setting and track waste costs.
- Continuous Improvement & Development: Promote environmental awareness, support improvement projects and work towards your own development plan.
What Youâll Bring
- Degree in Science, Environmental or Engineering
- Strong understanding of environmental and occupational hygiene legislation
- Basic plant and process knowledge
- MCERTS Level 1, Level 2, TE1, TE3, TE4 (with ongoing recertification)
- BOHS Diploma
- Auditing experience (IEMA qualification desirable)
- Strong organisation, communication, IT and teamwork skills
- Training in fall arrest harness use, respiratory protection, working at height, hazard awareness, permitâtoâwork, MAAC and RAP
