The Role

As a Lead Product Designer you will play a pivotal role where you’ll shape critical experiences in our platform, influence product strategy, and help raise the bar for design across the business. You’ll work in close partnership with PMs, Engineers and Researchers—and report directly to our Head of Product Design.

You’ll help shape how our product works, feels, and solves real-world problems for our customers.

  • Drive meaningful improvements to the customer experience in one or more high-impact areas of the product—measurably improving user satisfaction, reducing friction, or unlocking business growth.
  • Influence product direction by identifying and framing problems worth solving, leading and setting the bar for discovery efforts, contributing to strategy and finding the real customer need.
  • Raise the bar for design at Soldo by mentoring teammates, levelling up our skills & critical thinking methods by evangelising a Design Thinking approach across the organisation. We need you to help demonstrate the impact of great product design at Soldo.
  • Improve design quality and consistency by contributing to our Design System and influencing design standards across the team.
  • Be a trusted design voice in cross-functional teams—bringing clarity to ambiguity, making decisions based on evidence, and championing our customers.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in Product Design within a past-paced SaaS environment (ideally in fintech)
  • A strong portfolio that showcases elegant, usable, and outcome-driven design solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Excellent interaction design, information design and system design skills, with an eye for detail and a knack for simplifying complexity.
  • Deep experience collaborating in cross-functional teams and working closely with engineers.
  • Confidence in planning and running your own user research or collaborating with researchers.
  • A systems thinker who can balance consistency with creative problem-solving.
  • Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback in a candid, collaborative way.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving problem spaces
  • High level of skill using Figma to visualise ideas, brainstorm, and create high-fidelity prototypes
  • Experience driving change in a small-medium sized SaaS product company
  • Experience of working in an agile environment, and familiarity with Agile methodology
  • Data-driven mindset to advise design choices based on customer research, business priority and technical constraints
  • Passionate about inclusive design and accessibility, and you'll design with all our customers in mind

It would be nice if you have:

  • Experience designing financial or workflow tools for B2B audiences
  • Experience of designing for both web and mobile platforms
  • Experience with design systems at scale
