*Technical Training & Applications Specialist (Solar & Storage)* *Sola X Power – UK & Ireland* *The Role* This is a customer-facing technical role focused on training, problem-solving, and representing Sola X in the field.
You will lead installer training, support commissioning on-site, and act as a trusted technical presence across the UK and Ireland.
This is not a sales role. Your impact is measured by installer confidence, repeat installations, and long-term relationships.
*What You’ll Be Doing* Training & Installer Development (Primary) * Deliver structured training sessions (10–30 installers) * Run sessions at:
- Sola X training centre (Atherstone, near Birmingham) * Distributor locations
- Customer sites and events
- Teach installation, wiring, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Adapt HQ training into practical, UK-relevant guidance
- Deliver hands-on sessions using real systems
- *Technical Support* * Provide feedback on UK-specific product requirements
*Installer & Partner Engagement* * Build long-term relationships with installers and distributors
- Act as a trusted advisor, not a salesperson
- Confidently guide and challenge installers where needed
- Support roadshows, demos and technical events
- *Events & Internal Support* * Build, run and break down smaller exhibitions/trade events
- Support sales and marketing activity in the field
- Contribute to video and social content when required
- Maintain a professional, organised training environment

- *What We’re Looking For* Core Requirements
- Solar / renewables / electrical industry
- OR strong electrical background with customer-facing experience
- Confident communicator — able to lead a room
- Experience working directly with customers/installers
- Full UK driving licence
- *Highly Valued* * Solar + battery experience
- Training or presentation experience
- Electrical qualifications (beneficial, not essential) *Personal Attributes* * Professional, organised, and reliable

*Practical Details* * Location: Atherstone (preferred) * Travel split
- 40% training centre
- 20% site work

- *Reality of the Role* * You will represent Sola X directly in front of customers
