Solasta Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our growing team. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Board of Directors, offering the opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining and strengthening the financial health of a dynamic healthcare organisation. The Role
As Financial Controller, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounts, payroll, insurance partnerships, and cross-border initiatives. You will provide strategic financial leadership, ensure compliance, and support business growth through insightful analysis and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls and procedures
- Deliver accurate financial insights and reports to the Board
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth
- Accounts Management
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, general ledger)
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow)
- Manage audit processes and liaise with external auditors
- Payroll Oversight
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
- Maintain compliance with payroll regulations and reporting
- Review payroll reconciliations and journal entries
- Insurance & Cross-Border Work
- Manage relationships with insurance providers
- Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance
- Support development of cross-border healthcare initiatives
- Monitor claims and settlements for accuracy and timeliness
- Board Reporting
- Present financial reports and strategic insights
- Support decision-making at Board level
- Contribute to long-term financial planning and organisational goals
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role
- Ideally experience within healthcare or a regulated industry
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, analysis, and controls
- Experience managing accounts, payroll, and insurance-related processes
- Proficiency in SAGE and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Confident communicator, capable of engaging at Board level
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
