Job Purpose:

Joining this fast-paced and lively Pre-legal Collections team, your focus will be on the following key areas:

  • Recover outstanding monies owed to our client in a compliant manner.
  • Handle your own case load dealing with customer queries.
  • Resolve queries with customers and clients whilst negotiating the best repayment option for our client, taking into account customer circumstances.
  • Review whether litigation proceedings would be relevant to the recoveries.
  • Assist the Team Leader in managing a wide range of portfolios.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with original creditors to resolve new and existing queries.
  • Liaise with a variety of professionals who require specialist support in relation to our portfolios.
  • Be forthcoming in settlement discussions and negotiations with customers.
  • Follow client-specific pre-litigation collection requirements.

Ideal Experience:

  • This role would suit a candidate looking to start their legal career and gain experience in a law firm.
  • Experience in a debt recovery environment would be an advantage, though not essential as on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential.
  • Highly motivated with strong written and communication skills.
  • Ensure that your quality and timeliness of work is in line with our policies and procedures.
  • IT proficiency is required.
  • An ability to use your own initiative and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Passion to deliver results.
