We operate across large-scale Solar PV infrastructure projects, providing full turnkey solutions from design through to installation and commissioning.
Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the successful delivery of large-scale solar infrastructure projects.
Working within a fast-paced, contractor-led environment, you will take ownership of the commercial management of multiple projects, collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and senior leadership to maximise value and drive project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management: Administer and manage contracts, ensuring full compliance and value delivery.
- Financial
Control: Lead cost forecasting, budget tracking, and commercial reporting to support project delivery and monitor project expenditure and produce accurate financial reports.
- Project
Collaboration: Work closely with delivery teams to manage contractor relationships and ensure commercial alignment.
Support operational delivery by providing clear financial insight and guidance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Pre-Construction & Tender
Support: Assist with tender preparation, cost estimation, and pricing submissions.
Review tender documentation and identify commercial risks and opportunities and contribute to procurement strategies and supply chain selection.
- Mentorship & Teamwork: Share your knowledge with junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
And continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and commercial outcomes.
About You
- Experience working with main contractors on large-scale infrastructure projects
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or renewable energy projects
- Demonstrable experience in cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting
- Ability to manage multiple projects/sites simultaneously
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Degree qualified preferably in Quantity Surveying (BSc).
- Experience within solar PV or renewable energy projects
- Knowledge of pre-construction and tendering processes
- Professional membership (e. g. RICS) or working towards accreditation
- Experience leading or influencing project teams
